New Online Bingo Websites Threaten Old Favourites, Says UK Survey

Unlucky for Some, top authority on all things bingo, has just released survey results showing some surprising trends among internet game players.

(Issues Wire / PRWEB) August 21, 2007 -- Rob Hutchison, owner of the popular online bingo site Unlucky for Some, has announced the results of a survey carried out to discover internet game players choice for the most popular UK online bingo website. While Gala Bingo came out on top, other smaller websites threaten to outperform their bigger rivals.

The survey was conducted this month on www.unluckyforsome.co.uk, a popular online bingo news and reviews website, which provides internet game up-to-the-minute information on the latest site launches and special offers.

The survey asked visitors which online bingo website they played at the most. Unsurprisingly, Gala Bingo proved the most popular of the sites listed, gaining 19% of the vote and beating its rival Mecca Bingo, which only received 5% of the vote. A surprise favourite, in second place, was Gone Bingo, which offers generous sign up bonuses plus sophisticated graphics and games.

Another intriguing result was that of Astro Bingo, which received 6% of the vote, proving the appeal of smaller, more intimate sites geared towards female internet game players.

However the most interesting result was the option ‘other site not listed’ which received a huge 30% of the vote.

Rob says, "Gala Bingo was, as expected, extremely popular. However, there is an overwhelming amount of choice in the online bingo market, and the popularity of other less well known sites proves that players are not afraid to shop around for the internet game which most appeals to them. Big names such as Gala, Mecca and Foxy Bingo need to work hard to keep their customers coming back. We at Unluckyforsome.co.uk also need to work hard to keep bringing the latest news and information to our visitors."

About Unluckyforsome.co.uk:
The name “Unlucky for Some” may sound strange to non-bingo players, but it’s the bingo caller’s term for number 13, as is “Two Fat Ladies” 88. The website was launched in November 2006 as an online bingo news website, then progressed to offer online bingo site reviews, new promotions and bonuses for internet game players.
