IBG Teleconference: Department of Justice's National Sensors, Surveillance and Biometric Technologies Center of Excellence

International Biometric Group (IBG) is pleased to announce its upcoming teleconference: National Sensors, Surveillance and Biometric Technologies Center of Excellence, to be held Thursday February 21st, at 1 pm ET, which will outline participation opportunities for law enforcement, vendors, researchers, and integrators.

New York, NY (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 16, 2008 -- International Biometric Group (IBG), the industry's premier independent developer and integrator of biometric systems and solutions for identification and authentication, is pleased to announce its upcoming teleconference: National Sensors, Surveillance and Biometric Technologies Center of Excellence, to be held Thursday February 21st, at 1 pm ET.

IBG recently received $2.9 million from the U.S. Department of Justice to establish the National Sensors, Surveillance, and Biometric Technologies Center of Excellence to support law enforcement and corrections technology projects, including concealed weapons detection, through-the-wall surveillance, novel sensors, and biometric technologies.

The Center provides research and technology support to 19,000 law enforcement agencies nationwide to identify technology needs, test and evaluate technologies, implement and oversee pilot and demo programs in support of new technology adoption, develop technology guidelines, and provide specialized technology assistance and support.

On Thursday February 21st, at 1 pm ET, Center Director Raj Nanavati will spend 30 minutes discussing the Center and the participation opportunities for law enforcement, vendors, researchers, and integrators.

The Center operates within the existing National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center System, a component of Office of Justice Program's National Institute of Justice which serves as a nationwide network of technology research facilities.
