NCPA's Terry Neese Says Gov. Sarah Palin is Best Choice for American Families

Below is a statement on the selection of Gov. Sarah Palin as Republican Vice Presidential nominee from Terry Neese, a Distinguished Fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis.

(Issues Wire / Vocus) August 29, 2008

"John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as vice president is the best news for American families to come out of Washington in a long time. As a working mother, Gov. Palin obviously knows the challenges of balancing career with family. And because of that, I'm confident she will support family-friendly policies that emphasize workplace reforms that reflect the way Americans live and work in the 21st century."

Terry Neese is an expert on women issues and is very media savvy. She would be pleased to bring expert commentary to the selection of Sarah Palin.

Terry served as the national president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the largest women's association of its kind. Terry also has founded several other organizations focused on helping women in business:

  • Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) joins together a membership across the nation totaling over half-million women business owners and executives and serves as a voice for women in business in the nation's Capitol.
  • Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW) whose programs include both domestic and international training for women business owners in the area of public policy and entrepreneurial education.
o   Peace Through Business -- educates and empowers women entrepreneurs in developing countries to achieve their dream of financial independence and community involvement as a woman owned business.
o   Power Tools for Women -- a manual and training program authored by Terry that encourages women business owners to affect change through involvement in public policy.

To speak with Terry Neese, please contact the Leah Gipson at the National Center for Policy Analysis at 972-308-6486 or leah.gipson@ncpa.org
