JK Harris Uses Offer in Compromise to Keep Food Salesman's Financial Future from Being Spoiled

JK Harris and Company, LLC, uses the IRS Offer in Compromise program to help food salesman settle his federal tax issues with the IRS.

North Charleston, SC (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 19, 2008 -- Food salesman Raymond Wagner would have had to sell a whole lot of frozen foods to cover the back taxes he owed the IRS. Thanks to the help of JK Harris and Company, Wagner was able to settle IRS debt with an Offer in Compromise.

Wagner had no idea he had not had enough taxes taken out of his paycheck until he found out he owed the IRS a lot of money - $15,487 to be exact.

Wagner did not know where to begin to resolve his tax issues. Then, he saw a newspaper ad for JK Harris, the nation's largest tax resolution company. He signed up for the Offer in Compromise program, which allowed JK Harris to negotiate with the IRS on his behalf to reach a settlement amount that he and the IRS would be satisfied with.

The Offer in Compromise program allows taxpayers, such as Wagner, to pay a portion of the taxes owed based on certain financial criteria they must meet. The taxpayer must remain compliant with the IRS for five years after the Offer is accepted.

The process can be grueling, as it requires a lot of paperwork to be sent back and forth between the client and JK Harris and from JK Harris to the IRS. This is due to the fact the IRS requires the most up to date financial information in order to process an Offer. This sometimes means having clients submit their financial information over and over again in order for the IRS to make a determination on the client's inability to pay their tax liability.

"I stayed on top of his case and when there were any new developments, I called Mr. Wagner right away to keep him up to date," said the JK Harris Case Specialist who handled Wagner's case.

The Case Specialist and the rest of the team on Wagner's case worked closely with the IRS to get Wagner's offer approved. When the offer of $700 was finally accepted, it was a victory for all involved.

"Mr. Wagner was a nice man and it was a pleasure to assist with his offer," said his Case Specialist.
And Wagner was equally pleased.

"I highly recommend the services of JK Harris and Company. The team that worked on my case did an excellent job, especially my Case Specialist," said Wagner. "Thank you, JK Harris!"
