Synchronicity Performance Group Receives Google Grant

Synchronicity, an Atlanta-based non-profit theatre, was awarded a grant by Google which provides free Google AdWords advertising.

Atlanta, Georgia (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 16, 2008 -- Synchronicity Performance Group announced today that it has been awarded a Google Grant. The Google Grants™ program helps registered non-profits leverage the power of Google AdWords™ advertising to engage and inform their online constituents, and this grant will enable Synchronicity advertisements to appear alongside Google™ search results when visitors from greater Atlanta search for related keywords.

Synchronicity Performance Group's Managing Director, Amy Wratchford, stated, "We are honored and deeply grateful to Google for this generous grant. Google AdWords advertising will not only allow us to raise awareness of the company, it will also bring us directly to the attention of Atlanta residents who are looking for exactly the kind of quality, thought-provoking theatre we are producing. As with most non-profit theatres in the area, less than 50% of our production costs are covered by ticket sales; individual donations and grants such as this one are vital to our sustainability."

Synchronicity Performance Group, celebrating its 10th Anniversary this season, produces six plays a year: three in their Bold Voices Series for adults and three Family Series productions. Next up will be Angela's Mixtape (Bold Voices) and Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business (Family Series) playing mid-February to mid-March. The company performs at 7 Stages Theatre in the Little Five Points neighborhood of Atlanta. Ticket purchases and donations can be processed on Synchronicity's website: www.synchrotheatre.com or by calling 404-484-8636.

Synchronicity Performance Group was founded in 1997 and is led by Producing Artistic Director Rachel May, and Managing Director Amy Wratchford. Since bursting onto the Atlanta scene, Synchronicity has produced gutsy, high-quality and entertaining plays that resonate with our audience, our community and our lives. We support the work of women. We take artistic chances to make our audiences think about important issues. We partner with community groups to deepen the relationship between our audiences and the work. Synchronicity is in residence at 7 Stages Theatre. www.synchrotheatre.com
