Moms Make Plans to Mobile Blog Their Votes on Election Day
Calling from their cell phones, moms across the country will record their historic votes in real time
Pittsburgh, PA (Issues Wire / PRWEB) November 2, 2008 -- In an effort to record their votes for history, on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, moms throughout the country will use their cell phones to call in live reports from their polling places to TheMotherhood.com.
Part citizen mom reporting and part historical documentation, the Mom Call In the Vote effort on TheMotherhood.com has been embraced by moms across the nation, including many bloggers, who plan to use their cell phones to report the moment live on Election Day.
The Motherhood.com, which launched three weeks ago, has the first-ever "YouTube" type tool for voice that allows moms to leave voice recordings directly on The Motherhood, and then embed their recordings on their personal blog or website. The Moms Call In The Vote circle was created in response to numerous requests from moms who wanted the ability to collectively report on, record for posterity and celebrate Election Day 2008.
The Motherhood Mission
Emily McKhann and Cooper Munroe, the founding mothers of TheMotherhood.com, have six kids between them, and believe with all their hearts in the power of mothers. The Motherhood is a service that gives mothers the tools they need to share their stories and respond to each other with ideas, support and information -- whether in real life, over the phone or on the computer. Through The Motherhood, the power of motherhood unfolds daily, revealing in the collective actions of mothers that the little things add up to something much bigger. Cooper and Emily have won a number of awards, including a WebAward, a Best of Blogs Award for Most Inspirational Blog and were finalists for a Webby.
