Primafuel Co-Founder to Speak at World Ag Expo on Future of Brazil-United States Biofuel Policies

Co-founder, Rahul Iyer, will educate farmers on the opportunities and challenges of a low-carbon world market.

Fresno, CA (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 7, 2008 -- Primafuel co-founder, Rahul Iyer, will speak on international biofuel policy trends at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, on Feb. 12, 2008. Iyer will participate in a symposium panel titled, "The California-Brazil Connection: Ethanol, Biodiesel, Electricity and Beyond." With biofuel and sustainable energy policies becoming more and more international in focus, Iyer will offer his observations on the many opportunities and challenges facing American farmers.

The World Ag Expo, the largest agricultural exposition in the world, is the latest in a string of high visibility international events for Primafuel. "We're a company focused on finding low-carbon fuels for the international community," said Primafuel CEO Richard Woods. "As governmental policies rightfully move toward international sustainability, the agricultural community must be smart on issues beyond our nation's borders."

As governmental policies rightfully move toward international sustainability, the agricultural community must be smart on issues beyond our nation's borders.
Frank Nuñez, with the Center for International Trade Development, commented on the importance of this international perspective, "As the world shrinks, the horizons of agriculture's impact widen. California's $32 billion agricultural industry has 88,000 farms and ranches. You can be sure that these folks have a keen interest in what's happening with farm-based Brazilian biofuels. For continued success, the California and United States agricultural industries must stay current on future policy changes."

Primafuel is active in globally strategic markets in the US, Europe and Asia. As part of its drive toward zero-carbon fuels, Primafuel's infrastructure projects have earned accolades and awards from leading authorities such as the World Economic Forum and the California Air Resources Board. Along with Primafuel's Iyer, other participants in the symposium include the Office of Agriculture and Environmental Stewardship, Unica, the São Paulo Sugar Cane Agroindustry Union, and Imperial Bioresources.
