Human Capital Institute and Enwisen Partner to Launch "Next Generation Workforce Communication" Initiatives

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and Enwisen, a leader in on-demand workforce communications solutions, announced today that the two organizations will jointly launch a "Next Generation Workforce Communication" education and research track. The track is one of several topics addressed in HCI's Talent Strategy community of interest and focuses on the ways in which the best organizations are leveraging next generation communications technology to create a more informed, productive, engaged, and satisfied workforce.

Washington, D.C. (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 7, 2008 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and Enwisen, a leader in on-demand workforce communications solutions, announced today that the two organizations will jointly launch a "Next Generation Workforce Communication" education and research track. The track is one of several topics addressed in HCI's Talent Strategy community of interest and focuses on the ways in which the best organizations are leveraging next generation communications technology to create a more informed, productive, engaged, and satisfied workforce.

"As little as five years ago, workforce communications venues such as portals, knowledgebases, and self-service solutions were seen as technology projects that had to be forced upon employees, and they were viewed as benefiting only HR," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's president and executive director. "Today's forward-thinking organizations understand that truly effective workforce communication helps attract, motivate, and retain talent while returning significant shareholder value."

Effective workforce communication dramatically improves the employee experience, and in turn significantly impacts organizational success
Today, these types of venues are viewed as business change enablers that benefit the entire organization. The modern workforce needs to have communications that are collaborative, personalized, searchable, and in context to their daily work/life tasks and events.

Effective, technology-driven communications can help organizations brand themselves as innovative employers of choice; engage employees from day zero with a personalized onboarding experience; create a dynamic employee portal; allow information and work-culture to be shared across locations and functional areas; and help employees become more informed consumers of benefits and other HR services.

The HCI and Enwisen track looks at success stories in the deployment of technologies such as employee portals, onboarding applications, decision support suites, collaborative communications/social networking solutions, shared services center communications, and total rewards modeling tools. A panel of expert advisors shares best and next practices with human capital professionals through Webcasts, white papers, education, and other resources.

"Effective workforce communication dramatically improves the employee experience, and in turn significantly impacts organizational success," said Barbara Levin, senior vice president of marketing and customer community for Enwisen. "We are pleased to support the Human Capital Institute's learning track and provide organizations with information and tools to help address this critical area."
