Toronto, Ontario (Issues Wire / PRWEB) September 16, 2007 -- Auctionwire, an online auction agency and the Canadian company that managed the eBay auctions of U.S. icons including the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard and Barry Bonds 715 homerun ball, announces the first ever auction of its kind for a Papal inspired motorcycle manufactured by the famed Orange County Choppers. The "Pope Bike" is the first motorcycle to publicly honor and celebrate the Pontiff. The bike will go up for bids on eBay beginning September 15 and the proceeds from the sale of the bike will support the Youth and Family Encounter event.

"The Papal Bike includes special custom painting by Nub Grafix and features images and symbols memorializing Pope John Paul II's pontificate. Gold Leafing represents the Pope's chalice and paten that he used to offer Mass. The bike is an inspiration and one-of-a-kind commemorative masterpiece, which includes his Coat of Arms, papal flag imagery, Polish flag colors and papal styled cross.

Auctionwire has run some of the most widely respected and visited auctions on eBay and expects to break records in the category of visitors, interests and final bid price on the "Pope Bike". Auctionwire is currently producing and managing a number of other high profile auctions this year such as the Canadian Film Centre Charity Auction, Special Olympics, L'Oréal Fashion Week Online Auction and Auctions for Action™, Canada's biggest online auction fundraising event of the year.
