FuseTalk Raises the Bar on Discussion Forum Software with Version 3.1 Built on the Microsoft .NET Framework

FuseTalk Inc., the leading provider of enterprise-grade Online Discussion Forum Software, announced the official release of FuseTalk Version 3.1 built on the Microsoft .NET Framework.
FuseTalk™ is a mature product that substantially satisfies the business requirements for discussion forums within the rapid application development environment.

Ottawa, Ontario (Issues Wire / PRWEB) August 14, 2007 -- FuseTalk™ Inc., the leading provider of enterprise-grade Online Discussion Forum Software, announced the official release of FuseTalk™ Version 3.1 built on the Microsoft .NET Framework. This significant upgrade now provides developers with features that have made FuseTalk™ a long standing favorite within the ColdFusion environment.

FuseTalk's product line is designed to enable organizations to build an interactive community where members can communicate, through exchange of knowledge and experiences, information and views, and help solve problems.

"Online communities are a valuable source of timely business intelligence. We've updated FuseTalk™ to make it easier for companies to identify the interests and needs of their community members and to create actionable responses," says Greg Waite, President of FuseTalk Inc. "There are a lot of advantages to mining community data and having the tools to act proactively upon opportunities and issues raised by members is a major benefit of the FuseTalk solution."

FuseTalk™ leverages the rapid implementations of the Microsoft .NET Framework right out-of the box. Developers can easily create the personality and application behaviour that they are looking for in FuseTalk™. An abundance of customization options for global and standalone forums are accessed in the FuseTalk API. The intuitive GUI enables the creation of forums that have distinct personality and behavior characteristics.

"FuseTalk™ is a mature product that substantially satisfies the business requirements for discussion forums within the rapid application development environment."

Using the knowledge base system in FuseTalk™, community administrators or moderators can take action on discussion topics by converting discussion content into knowledge base content, or adding new content to the knowledge base, both done very quickly and easily.

The upgraded search mechanism provides users with more Boolean style features that deliver more relevant results.

"In order to be adaptive and responsive to evolving market conditions, businesses are demanding more flexible, customizable solutions from software developers," said Jeff Zado, Senior Product Manager, Developer Solutions, Microsoft Canada Co. "At Microsoft we are pleased to support ISVs like FuseTalk, who leverage the power of Microsoft .NET to create dynamic and user-friendly solutions for their customers."

Major FuseTalk™ Forums V3.1 feature additions include:

  • Automatic Moderation - automatically ban users based on rating thresholds that the Administrator sets
