OGM's New LED 3-Mile Steaming/Masthead Light Gets US Coast Guard Certified
New LED Steaming/Masthead light from Orca Green is certified to US Coast Guard standard 33 CFR 183.810 for 3nm.
Austin, Texas (Issues Wire / PRWEB) May 31, 2007 -- Orca Green Marine Technology Corporation (OGM) announces today that the Steaming/Masthead Light, its latest LED product in their expanding series of LED Marine Navigation Lights, has received certification to the US Coast Guard standard 33 CFR 183.810. OGM's newly introduced Steaming/Masthead Light underwent testing by IMANNA Laboratories, Inc (an independent US Coast Guard approved testing laboratory) for both ABYC and NMMA compliance. Designed for the rugged environment required for commercial and military use, the OGM Steaming/Masthead light uses sealed rubber gaskets and epoxy encapsulated circuit boards for complete waterproof protection. Its rugged hard-anodized aluminum housing with UV-stabilized acrylic lens add to its overall well-built construction to ensure years of life in the harsh marine environment. Measuring a mere 2.8 inches in height and weighing only 10 oz, this new low profile light is easily mounted for most commercial, government and recreational powerboat vessels. A special mast mount will allow for most sailboat mast applications as well. As with all of Orca Green's LED lights, the Steaming/Masthead light incorporates the latest in LED technology and uses only two (2) hi-powered Luxeon K2 white LEDs to achieve a consistent 3-mile visibility for power or sailboats up to 65ft. The Orca Green LED Steaming/Masthead light's wide voltage range of 10VDC up to 30VDC allows it to be used easily for 12V or 24V systems.
