San Diego Downwind Marine Distributes OGM LED Navigation Lights

Downwind Marine is new West Coast distributor of LED marine lights from Orca Green Marine Technology.

Austin, Texas (Issues Wire / PRWEB) May 13, 2007 -- Orca Green Marine Technology Corporation (OGM) announces that Downwind Marine (www.downwindmarine.com) headquartered in San Diego, CA now offers OGM's LED Navigation lights to their marine customers.

Two of OGM's most popular LED navigation lights include the first USCG approved LED Tricolor/Anchor combination which uses a mere 6W (0.5 amps) of power at 12V and the Anchor only light with power consumption at only 2.4W (0.2 amps). These lights provide boaters with a compelling solution to the long-standing issue of power consumption and reliability while on longer passages or at anchor. With power consumption at only 2.4W (0.2 amps), boats at anchor can ensure anchoring safety all night while limiting power drainage.

We are delighted to count Downwind Marine as one of our valued distribution partners," said Hobie Caldwell, OGM's co-founder and CEO. "San Diego has long been a final US stopping point before embarking on a longer voyage. Downwind's complete chandlery and knowledgeable staff allows cruisers to find the best marine equipment and answers to questions that will ensure their bluewater experience is a safe one."

Chris Frost, owner of Downwind Marine first discovered OGM's LED lights while cruising in the Caribbean. "It was the brightest light in the harbor, and I have to say, it is the brightest LED light we carry in our store today. We are delighted to provide Orca Green's line of LED lights for our customers."

Downwind Marine joins a rapidly growing number of resellers and retailers carrying the innovative line of LED navigation products as the company continues its channel expansion.
