OGM Introduces New LED Running Lights

New Orca Green LED Navigation Lights Perfect for Sailboats, Powerboats, Commercial and Government.

Austin, Texas (Issues Wire / PRWEB) February 15, 2006 –- Orca Green Marine Technology Corporation (OGM) introduces its latest line of LED Navigation lights that provide recreational boaters along with commercial and government boats with an energy efficient and reliable lighting option for vessels up to 50 meters (164ft). Already slated for Navy and USCG boats, OGM’s new offering includes port, starboard, stern, masthead/steaming lights as well as all around red, all around green, all around white and an amber towing light. The new lights are all designed to meet the full visibility requirements of the US Coast Guard’s COLREGS standards.

Orca Green’s LED running lights continue its tradition of low power with average power consumption at only 2W (0.17 amps) at 12V. The new running lights also provide a wide voltage range of 8VDC up to 24VDC allowing them to be used easily for 12V or 24V systems and the lights will remain at full brightness as the battery drains down to 8V.

“We are excited about these new running lights as we now can provide a full line of lights to our growing number of OEM customers and to our resellers who serve both recreational marine as well as the commercial industries," said Hobie Caldwell, OGM’s co-founder and CEO. “We designed these new lights using the same reliable LED technology that makes the OGM TriAnchor the leader in the industry. OGM’s commitment to building a quality product that withstands the extreme elements of the marine environment will ensure that our military, commercial and recreational boating customers can rely on our LED products for years to come.”

Orca Green’s new LED running lights will retail starting at $159 each and are available direct and through a growing number of distributors and resellers worldwide.
